the rake is $6 even at 3/6??? that's crazy for a room that isn't the only game in town.

yeah, but they never used to have one going (except poker pro). Since the new room opened they have a 3-6 as well as a 5-10 which seems pretty stupid to me. Greektown rakes $1 less from their limit games

Don't even think about playing at greektown. I would'nt let the manager of that place manage a hot dog stand at hart plaza. $5 rake + 1 dollar for the bad beat jackpot. They have a dealer shortage which means long waits. The games are horrid. Last time I was there, the big limit game was 5/10. The game was chopping, I went to put on my Ipod and was told I could'nt cause it effects the bad beat jack pot. In fact part of there training must be to tell everyone that anything you can't do regarding there restricked weird rules effects the bad beat jackpot. When they first opened the poker dealers were allowed to keep there tips, but black jack dealers whined they were making to much money, so now they share tips with whole casino. So by having lame pizzed dealers the play is slow and the attitudes are bad. Now they have some scam game thats real popular, what I mean by scam game is, there is no way in hell you can beat it (let me explain). 1/2 blinds max buy in is 100 dollars, 6 dollar half hour time pay 6 bb per hour rake lol and u cant ever top off your hundred , so if you a tight player by the time you get a hand and someone pushes all-in, you may only have 40 in your stack from being timed off and blinded off (so disgusting watching people getting scammed like that just because they dont understand the rake). Next you have to park in a parking structure usually thats atleast two blocks away in downtown Detroit. I urge all Two plus two ers to inform your friends not to go to Greektown.

Hmmm! 3/6 and 5/10. Over a period of years, the rake on both those limits, has gone from $2.50 to $6.00 and $7.00. What's the saying? "The joint is going to BUST EVERYONE". No doubt at all about that-as certain as "death and taxes".

Re: the 15/30 game.
played it 3 weeks ago -- one of the best games I've ever been in. During the transition week it didn't run. Not sure what time it started on Saturday, but when I got there @ 5 the game had just broke. It appears if you want to play it, it's an earlier game -- maybe noon - 5 or so. Like I said, one of the best games I've ever sat in.

Oh ok, I was just told that I could'nt wear my Ipod because it disqualifies the whole table from winning the bad beat jackpot. I have noticed though that there are quite a few rules that disqualify people from this jackpot. I personally don't care about a jackpot, but some people must play poker at Military attention theire, fearing not to break a rule so they are not disqualified huh lol.

They say "The jackpot won't count" as a generic way to encourage obedience to all of their rules. I highly doubt that they would actually withhold a jp for an Ipod, but we should conform to all the rules regardless.
