Re: Short bankroll jam or \"Best way grind 40k in 15 days on short BR?\"
[ QUOTE ]
Option # 1 and take shots at 10/20 on party or 10/25 on UB when the games are good. FWIW, I am in the same boat but for reasons much different than yours. Not that it matters to you, but I am doing exactly what I wrote in my first sentence! [/ QUOTE ] I would stay way from the 10/25 on UB. The game has a lot of value but it comes with swings like no other place on the internet... |

Fine I'll give you a hint, I am the extremely solid player who you just seem to not be able to beat. [/ QUOTE ] hmm... coduresa? i don't know what extremely solid implies, 15/8 or 18/12. but coduresa eats me alive and he's a nit so... |

Re: Short bankroll jam or \"Best way grind 40k in 15 days on short BR?\"
[ QUOTE ]
wtf, he plans on playing 80hrs a week? thats 320 a month dude, impossible... Also,KingNeo, making 50k on NL5/10 in a week is not possible without some amazing luck.. that would be 200k a month and i dont think anyone who plays 5/10 ever had a month like that (or maybe im terribly wrong). [/ QUOTE ]this is definitely doable. The people that can do this though, would have no reason to, as their bankroll would typically be big enough to play higher stakes games, or be steady enough that they wouldn't want to work so many hours. |

Perhaps you aren't able to comprehend that $50k is $50k.

EM2 said he made 80k a few weeks back and I believe him. If you run well and play alot of tables then 50k in a week is hard but doable. But 200k in a month is a bit of a stretch for anyone at 1knl.

Re: Short bankroll jam or \"Best way grind 40k in 15 days on short BR?\"
I don't need to do this for months on end, just 2 weeks and 80 hours a week is eminintly doable, I've logged 80+ hour weeks many times before though I was playing fewer tables as I was also working at the time.

Re: Short bankroll jam or \"Best way grind 40k in 15 days on short BR?\"
This is pretty much the line I'd settled on this morning after having set up my dataming to check the 600nl tables as I haven't played 600nl in ages. Basically there aren't nearly as many 600 nl tables that go for long enough sections of the day & too many weak tight nut peddlers, sure I can beat them but it'll be slow going unless they tilt, they aren't aggressive enough to put $ in the middle.

Re: Short bankroll jam or \"Best way grind 40k in 15 days on short BR?\"
This isn't primarily a profitibility issue, for lifestyle reasons, I've always made poker a 1 way street, only withdrawing because others around me, fiance, former business partners, parents, etc would go nuts with worry if I put substantial non-poker assets in play regardless of how proven my track record is. So I have to drop down and grind a bit, I happen to have the time and I think it'll be an interesting challenge to set the goal and see if I can execute.
