Really though, religious people (the Abrahamic religions anyway) are damn near the definition of bigotry. It is not hypocritical to be intolerant of intolerance. And no atheist has been "sheltered" from religion. It's everywhere. I myself grew up a pastor's kid. We're just sick of intellectual laziness.

reasoned discussion is not you calling me juvenile. i don't need to defend my actions to a holier-than-thou hypocrite who thinks what he's doing is rational discussion, who thinks a group of people attempting to convert people to another religion under the pretense that the religion they already follow is wrong (SOOOOO offensive) is reasoned discussion.

I'm not entirely clear here, but you seem to be saying that once you have made up your mind, no other person has a right to engage you in a discussion regarding the conclusion you have reached. Yes, this is why I suggested you ought to see about living in a plastic bubble for the remainder of your life.

For the record I am also an atheist, and my objection to your claimed 'prank' has noting to do with a religious impulse, only that I believe in free, reasoned, and civilized discussion.
