if an alien was to visit this site and read all responses to posted hands, he would conclude that no one has ever played a poker hand correctly

He's getting 822:400 direct pot odds, and can expect a call from hero quite often meaning 1150:400 odds.

Worst case scenario for his hand is like :

Board: 9d 6d 2c
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 26.829% 26.83% 00.00% 1980 0.00 { 8d7d }
Hand 1: 56.951% 56.95% 00.00% 4203 0.00 { 99 }
Hand 2: 12.927% 12.93% 00.00% 954 0.00 { AdJd }
Hand 3: 03.293% 03.29% 00.00% 243 0.00 { AA }

3:1 odds, so marginally -EV in worst case scenario.

Best case scenario is obviously:

Board: 9d 6d 2c
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 49.878% 49.88% 00.00% 11043 0.00 { 8d7d }
Hand 1: 41.220% 41.22% 00.00% 9126 0.00 { 99 }
Hand 2: 04.512% 04.51% 00.00% 999 0.00 { 66 }
Hand 3: 04.390% 04.39% 00.00% 972 0.00 { 22 }

So yeah, that's a pretty clearly bad fold.

obv put someone on higher flush draw. with all that action i wouldn't fold. just hope they all flopped sets.

[/ QUOTE ]
Terrible fold. Typical online nit. There is a good chance no one has a flush draw, and even so you are getting close to odds for OESD.

erm, 200bbs deep with no FE and only every gonna be 50% at best when someone is VERY likely to have a set, and maybe someone retarded is there with a higher flush?????

action went check, bet, raise, shove for 300bbs effective, cold call from checker...

easiest fold ever

[/ QUOTE ]

to be fair OP already said he had top set so assuming he's not talking crap and is going all in, carrotsnake needs to call off $400 to win $1600 with an open ended straight flush draw. the fact that he's 200bb deep is irrelevant imo. Also OP and the other villian are pretty deep. I doubt either are going crazy with AQdd here and makes it more likely they both have sets.

Edit: re-read OP. Not $400 to win $1600 but whatever, I never fold this.

I doubt that some one folded 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] here, but lol if they did. I think I OP should be reported to stars ASAP, that is FUBAR, and I don't care if he had a woody.

ok i'm sold on calling, but i still would think that given the info carrotsnake had, the time he had, and the unlikelihood of having ever seriously analysed this spot before, a fold is good.

lolllllll never fold that

this isn't the wsop final table, wasicka had two million to win just by folding, but here you win nothing except the ridicule of all non-nit real men everywhere

I made a fold at the time which I thought was correct, but in hindsight wasn't. I squarely put the 2nd dude on something like A3dd. Apparnetly I was wrong. I also forget I actually had the OESFD and not a fake one. OH welllllll.

Also, the censored thing wasn't like a bad word or anything, I was joking. I don't really care. KThxBye <3
