I was right in the middle of a three-way debate over document standards with a high-ranking research scientist and a corporate vice president when I accidentally sent them a grocery list. The scientist was just confused; the VP asked if there was anything I'd like instead if his local supermarket didn't carry Better Cheddars. In the end, it actually eased some of the tension of the debate, so I guess everything worked out for the best. Except for my supervisor (cced but not participating in the conversation), who told me if it hadn't all worked out OK she would have choked me to death.
