man HUD havent been kind to me lately, i have seen 45/33/4 players cold call JJ and then not put in a raise on a rags board, 17/11 types cold calling K2o to my UTG raise, serioulsy weird [censored] has been happening lately, that has had me thinking wow, that aint what his stats are telling all of these have had decent sample sizes as well.

should that say AcJs since u have the Jc? if so i dont think he could have played his hand any differently til maybe the river ( and even then he did see u cap K10 and call down a cr on AKx ) so maybe he incorrectly views u as a donkey like u do him.

haha just giving u a hard time, i really think its a mistake most poker players make assuming everyone sucks. this guy is likely a decent thinking player, sure the 53 hand looks ridiculous (but maybe he thought ur flop ck and turn raise meant a holding he could blow u off of with a 3bet and after u capped maybe he convinced himself he had 5 outs so he saw the river) think how often it probably occurs that TAGs end up berating other TAGs of likely similar skill levels and for whatever reason, our own egotism or whatever, we view them as far worse. I think thinking of ur opponents this way isn't necessarily advantageous either.

Word. (I'm not saying this particular guy doesn't suck, though)

This is an epic post. Never has so much truth been spoken with so few words. Who knows how much money has been pissed away collectively by all of us for this exact reason.

Calling the turn and checkfolding the river unimproved is a 2-way shot. You may win by improving your hand. You may also win the way Bob actually won. In this specific situation I'd guess that you will get the free showdown more than half the times you have the best hand.

I think it's odd to think of someone who will cap KTcc here pf and then fold that to one river bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

why? capping does not obligate one to call down indiscriminately.

[/ QUOTE ]

It doesn't?
