Weeee! WPT final table w/ basically even chips and super hi blinds w/ faster levels. What does that equal??? Crapshoot for millions of dollars. I hope and pray that J.C. pulls it out. Redemption is a year in the making here.

All you can do in these WPT tourneys is put urself in position to "roll the dice" at the end. So if he doesn't win...eh... can't get too upset. He'll be back again.

How bout that Wasicka down the stretch making that big call for all his chips w/ A10 off vs. Bill Edler? Ballsy or WTF?

Ballsy. Wasicka is a great player. While a lot of people are impressed by his play since the ME, he is still extremely underrated. If he can stay "hungry" and motivated, he will be an elite tournament player in the years to come.

I think he had 750k behind after his initial raise. Which would have left him with the short stack at that point, but enough to play.

Kind of a blow-up there for Edler, Q-J play. Then he stuck in his last 650k with 4-3o. He had plenty to wait a round or two and get in there.

GO J.C! It's your turn. Should be a fun final.

I don't agree with that. The QJ play from the blinds was somewhat standard and a play that lots of players do all the time. He's basically reading Paul as trying to steal the blinds and saying I'm not taking any of this [censored]. QJ is a fairly good hand to play back at Paul with. Paul would be making the button raise with a huge range of hands and most he would fold... AND there are only a few hands that he can have where Edler is in trouble. It turns out Paul made a somewhat loose call -- not bad, just a bit loose -- and Edler was not really in terrible shape at all.

On the last push... well, he could wait for sure, but this could be the type of table where it just doesn't get limped that often to the button, and with the blinds that high he was running the risk that he really needs to catch a hand before his next blind or he will be pretty committed to win at showdown on his next blind. Why not take the chance that the blinds don't have a calling hand and even if they call his cards are probably live.

As much as he has a fabulous record here over the last four years, one can't help but think JC Tran would swap it just to win this event once.

It takes something special to get rid of him though! OI VEY!

Gotta love it, J.C. holds the chip lead since when, Day 3? Without relinquishing it one time. Then he loses the chip lead for one hand and done.
