Re: Dusty Baker fired
[ QUOTE ]
Next up Joe Girardi? [/ QUOTE ] I hope so ... anything would be an improvement for that team, such a disappointment Dusty was for the (f)ailing Cubs. Not like he had control over the injuries, but he could have done a better job with his situation. Good luck Dusty .. |

[ QUOTE ] Not like he had control over the injuries [/ QUOTE ] Kerry Wood and Mark Prior say "Hi." [/ QUOTE ] Kerry Wood came up with bad mechanics and blew out his arm before Baker got there. Which of Prior's problems are due to Baker, the line drive off his elbow or the achilles in spring training? I'm sure a half way decent manager would have only lost 93 games with the Cubs this year. |

[ QUOTE ] Not like he had control over the injuries [/ QUOTE ] Kerry Wood and Mark Prior say "Hi." [/ QUOTE ] You realize that Wood has had injury problems since he was in A ball back in like 96, right? |

Re: Dusty Baker fired
[ QUOTE ]
Next up Joe Girardi? [/ QUOTE ] It needs to be either Girardi or Fredi Gonzalez. Somebody that is looking to PROVE something, not some guy resting on his laurels. Also they really need to get to bottom of the whole Marlins fiasco with Girardi and find out if he's really capable of being a manager. |
