[ QUOTE ]
Update: Well I screwed the pooch on ETFC, took a $1.00 loss per share and exited my position minus <$1007.00> including comissions. [/ QUOTE ] Almost anyone with significant mortgage exposure is likely to take an earnings hit over the next couple months. Even though Etrade bailed out of the mortgage business, this last quarter was from July timeframe. Also, even though a company may have been out of the mortgage business for awhile, if they are holding toxic paper they have not yet written down substantially, it can continue to suck earnings out of the company like a vampire for years to come. |

Re: Positions Thread
Went out of town for a few days to relax and came back to a screwy market. My ZMH investigation was nothing short of dumfounding, can't believe they missed so badly. Had a downside sell order in place for it while I was gone and thankfully it executed but man does that stock need some serious help.
My NILE Oct options expired so I still own it, sold Nov 85 covered calls this morning. Thinking about keeping this stock for a while, I'm liking the way it seems to trade in a good range around the $80 mark lately. Have been doing the same thing since I purchased UA and that has been profitable. Well now on to my BAC, at least they fired someone lol, anyway I suppose I'll have to be satisfied with it's dividend yield unless the FED surprises us all next week with some more voodoo magic incantation like last month. Any opinion on WM and TM? [/ QUOTE ] WM is in the same boat as subprime mortgagers. Cramer, among others, thinks there's a good chance they won't survive. |

Re: Positions Thread
Hurry up and approve my freaking account for option trading already. sheesh
Without any approval people should be able to buy options. Their only downside risk the the amount that they buy. Silly bastard regulators. |
