I think a more specific read on this player matters a lot. This guy hated money. I knew for a fact that he didn't have a Ten because in previous hands when he flopped trips he checked and called all the way. Frond - remember my QJ hand on the QTT board? I caught a Q on the river and won after betting all the way. The kid never raised once and had Tx.

He was the kind of player who only got aggressive on draws and with crap hands trying to bluff at pots. That being said, in retrospect the way you played the hand still gets more of his monies, as he called the 3-bet on the flop and called on the turn. If you had called the flop and check/raised the turn he may have folded right then and there. I got the impression that he was playing overcards like AJ or AQ.

I agree with everyone here that fastplaying the hand is the right way to go. I think I was being results oriented when I questioned the play. Nice hand.

Pre-flop raise is meh unless you're going for a 4 card flop.

Enough good things happen when you just keep the gas on that I don't think it's worth trying to get an extra small bet here with the turn ambush line.

Yea, with this guy it could have been any number of hands.

FP is the new SP. Works for me.
