Every time I get the same hand twice in a row online I ask for a RNG change.

The only rational reason to ask for a deck change is that you think the cards are marked (either intentionally, or they've gotten enough damage, dirt or whatever as to make cards identifiable from the back). 99.9% of the time that people ask for a deck change, it's because they are trying to change their luck. Unless the J6's the OP was getting were the exact same 2 cards each time, which just barely possibly might indicate something weird with the way the cards were interacting with the shuffling machine, asking for a deck change is just superstitious silliness.

I would just ask for a table and/or seat change. I never ask for a new setup unless I see some physically damaged cards.

Asking for a wash typically doesn't slow the game too much and is another option.

This needs to be quoted.

Why does this need to be quoted? Do your REALLY believe a seat change with alter the pattern of the totally random card distribution? Thats ridiculous self actualization mumbo jumbo.

The thing that I don't understand is that even if the cards are sticking together, they get shuffled by the dealer every time he deals the cards out. You're getting cards that are separated by 6+ cards every time, so it's not like if the jack and the six are touching you're going to get both of them.

I decided to jump back into the discussion.
After sleeping on it the next day-I realized how stupid it was. That if you are serious about playing poker-then you you'll get the same cards in a short period of time sometimes. I didn't ask for the deck change.

But I have a new question--How do you feel about this, making a move like this to look like a fish, or would that be a total douche move?

I have no problem with moves that make you look like a fish. I do have problems with moves that arbitrarily stop the game for a few minutes, as you are effectively taking food out of the dealer's mouth (or coke out of her nose, depending).

Are you serious? It stops the game for like 30 seconds max.
