Re: Documented encouraging sports stories
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I remember this one guy who had cancer and lost a leg. He was a runner and was running all over the US and Canada I think. That was like at least 25 years ago. anyone remember who that was? [/ QUOTE ] That was Terry Fox. See link already posted in this thread by someone else. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks a bunch. But I still don't see it posted earlier in this thread. Wow, does that bring back memories. [/ QUOTE ] There was a great HBO movie about him many years back. Can't remember who played Fox, but Robert Duvall is in it and did his usual great job. Edit: Amazon just has it on VHS and not DVD. Came out in 1983. |

[/ QUOTE ] I really don't know if you want one of the greatest fraudes in history to be a rollmodel for your kid. [/ QUOTE ] You have found the mysterious proof that Lance was doping? I can't wait to see it! - C - [/ QUOTE ] There is proof and it can hardly be called misterious. In 1999 there was no way to find EPO. Five years later they tested some of his bloodsamples from that tour. In 6 of them they found EPO but he couldn't be punished because they couldn't perform a contra expertise because there are no B samples. So, let's cut the crap shall we? [/ QUOTE ] LOL at the frogs being honest. |

It was and is a well known fact that the French hated Lance for dominating their sport [/ QUOTE ] As French hate anything that is not French when talking about cycling. |

Team Hoyt and it is not even close [/ QUOTE ] Yeah it's a tremendous story to be sure. They don't mention it in the video, and it's secondary to the story as a whole, but Dick is blazing fast. 2:40 marathon pushing the kid the whoel way |
