10K seems cheap to me considering the risk involved. Are these guys doing 5 hits a month or something?

"high performance pro job: 100k."

much lower. lets face it, killing someone is realitively easy if you are trained and the person who hires you has no information about your real identity.

I don't think your average hitman is exactly living a life of luxury.

yeah, this is a joke. no good hitman is going to do jobs for 10k.

I'm guessing the going rate for a real pro is 30-40. You wouldn't want to do more than one every 1-2 months.

I'd rather do one or two world class jobs a year for 1-2 million - like in the spy novels.

Why would anyone hire a hitman? It seems like someone would have less of a chance of getting caught if they did it themselves. Reason is that with hiring a "hitman" you might find an undercover cop instead, and if the hitman gets caught the truth will come out for sure.

I guess people that are crazy enough to kill someone don't think about this though.

PS why does OP want to know anyway?

In a murder investigation a motive is the first thing the detectives try to establish, if you have the motives to want to kill sombody, killing them yourself would not be a very good idea. If you arrange a hit on sombody you will still become a suspect most likely but there will be no evidence linking you to the crime, the murderer will be long gone.

Whenever someone gets busted trying to hire a hitman that is really a cop the price is always $10k.

I believe the quotes you get would vary a lot depending on what you can afford. The chances of the hit actually taking place remain tiny since it's a lot healthier to take the half up front and [censored] off.

I think this is like high-end electronics where you're better off just paying more. A good hitman is going to make it look like an accident or natural death and most likely no investigation will take place. If you're having problems with your wife and some guy shoots her three times in the head, this is going to set off all kinds of red flags and you'll probably end up in jail. If she wrecks her car or ODs on sleeping pills no one will think twice about it.
