Re: iPhone
I've only ever had cingular and I think it's great. When I first got a cell phone (2003), coverage was a little weak at my folks' house in SE rural MA. I was just home for christmas and it was crystal clear.

Re: iPhone
I bought an Ipod. It worked great for 4 months. It stopped working.
Can I expect any better from this thing? |

Re: iPhone
OMG, I'm trying my best to hate Apple and their overpriced "they'll make something better in 6 months" products, but with my new love of the Nike+ and how awesome this phone looks, they are winning me over. I like the thinness of it, the major reason I have a RAZR. I don't care so much about width, I just care about it looking slim in my pocket.

I've been on Cingular for a while now and coverage has been great in SF, NYC, and Houston. [/ QUOTE ] results may vary... |

Re: iPhone
No QWERTY. Not very fast, no tactile typing. Accidental typing in pockets, dirt, grease and scratches all over screen that you also are supposed to use for viewing stuff.

[ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Looks rather large, unless that's a particularly tiny hand. [/ QUOTE ] 4.5 by 2.4 by 0.46. Much the same as the Treo 650 except half the thickness. And no external antenna, obv. And this is the widescreen iPod. |

And this is the widescreen iPod. [/ QUOTE ] Ahahah ohhh I see what turnip was asking - I am retarded Although I guess turnip's question still stands - will they have a standalone widescreen non-phone device? -Al |

It looks like the phone has fingerprint authentication. Confirm/deny? [/ QUOTE ] No mention of that in Jobs presentation. But it has a virtual 'slide' to unlock the screen. I'm ready to toss my Treo. |
