People that say they are bored with Poker and don`t think it`s much of a game and they play it just because there is an opportunity to win money should seriously consider spending their time on something else.
Because this is not different then working at McDonald`s doing some boring shiat just to pay your bills.
McDonald`s job however is a guaranteed +EV and the risk of ruin is 0%.
Compare that to the uncertainty of Poker and it doesn`t take a genius to realize that flipping burgers is a much better option for this type of people.

I play poker because it`s the only game that challenges you at so many different fields and levels and the opportunity to make a living from it makes it perfect.
Think about everything you have to master in order to become a great poker player:
Math, probability, statistics, economy, finance, analysis, psychology, logic, observation, discipline, Anger/Tilt management are just a few of the many things you need to be good at.
Not to mention that above average IQ is a must in order to have some kind of edge.

Needless to say a massive motivation and determination is needed on top of being a "natural".

I`m sorry to say but the undisputed and well known fact is that a guy who is bored when he plays poker stands no chance in a long run. [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I am bored with poker and am up $10k in the last 3 days playing MSNL...you have no idea what you are talking about old fart. Playing poker fulltime is one of the most boring monotonous activities I could ever conceive of...

Just don`t forget to come back in this thread to tell us when you bust again because thats inevitable and my guess is it will happen very soon, basically when your luck runs out.
Thats a read based on your short post only.

Look kid, whatever you say after your first post is meaningless.
Stop embarrassing yourself.
You do not seem to grasp some basic life concepts but thats all right with me, it is only fair for the ignorant fools to learn the hard way...if ever.

Hmmmmm, I think I stumbled upon some kind of teen or student thread here.
I think I`ll live it alone, points not being understood, cocky pimple-boys talking about 10k somethin...it`s a mess.
So you kids stop derailing the thread, the OP question is a good one actually, and it should make you use your head for thinking for once.
I`m outta here. [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Started off because friends played and I loved gambling...

Then I began to love the strategy/psychology/math about it...

Then I played online a lot...

Then I was hooked...

But really, it all started with TV and I think that's DEEP DOWN why most ppl got into it...The glamorous nature of it really attracted me to it the more I think about it.
