He doesn't get enough credit IMO, but Benicio Del Toro in 21 Grams was jaw dropping to me for some reason.

he's pretty much considered an all-out pimp by anybody who knows even the slightest bit about films. You should check him out in Excess Baggage. Pretty 'meh' movie but he was really damn funny in it.

Cool story about Benicio. I was watching an interview with a fellow cast member (I forget who), and he was talking about how He and Benicio took an acting class together before they were famous. The teacher had everybody take a song and recite the lyrics as a monologue. Benicio chose "Light My Fire" by The Doors and apparently had every woman in the class juicing for him by the time he was finished. I can just imagine him, with long pepper black hair and gruff voice saying "Come on, baby...light my fire" as the entire gaggle of girls swoon in unison.

And just because I love this clip, here is Matt Damon telling a funny story about Matthew McConaughey.

I don't know the actor's name, and he had a tiny part - but I always liked the scary cowboy in Mulholland Drive. He was cool.

This is a very very good answer. My dad and I talked about this guy more than anything after that film, a film which has all sorts of things worth trying to discuss.

Much as I dislike him in the real world, Alec Baldwin in 'The Cooler' was damn good.

Baldwin also gave a great supporting performance in Glengarry Glen Ross.

Just saw "Gone Baby Gone"...and Amy Madigan deserves an Oscar!

Amy Madigan was OK but are you sure you didn't mean Amy Ryan, the actress who played the white trash/junkie mother?

Johhn Gielgud in Arthur (BTW, Gielgud's full name was Arthur John Gielgud.) ("I'll alert the media.")

Angelica Huston in Prizzi's Honor

Steve Buscemi in Fargo ("You should see the other guy.")

Eli Wallach in The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

Bette Davis in All About Eve ("Fasten your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy night.")
