And Go Illini! How is our bball team supposed to be this year? Have we officially slipped back to what we were a decade ago, a not horrible 25-50 team?

They will be pretty [censored]. We didn't really get any top tier recruits, and we lost almost all of our scoring output from last year (McBride/Carter). Pruitt and Randle will provide some experience to help win some games, but overall I think this will be a mediocre season. NCAA's would be a longshot, NIT is probably more realistic.

I've done Orange Krush the last two years - frosh year with Dee and Augie still there was awesome when we were flirting with the top ten all year. Last year was OK as we still made the tournament, but we lost 3 games at home, which is the same amount as the previous 6 years.

If anyone here likes basetball, do Krush/season tickets at least one year - the games are really fun to go to.

IM PUMPED FOR FOOTBALL!!!!

Uhh, every team in the Big Ten has had its down years and bad recruiting classes, etc. The tide is turning for the better in Champaign, so STFU.

i learned way more at u of i outside the classroom than inside. i'm not sure if that's a brag or beat, though. i'd send my kids there in a heartbeat but i'd also tell them to look at private schools if that's what they wanted to do.

i think most people that look down at state or public schools generally do so because they feel insecure about something regarding their college experience and/or personal life.

my roommate and some of my best friends went to uchicago and Nwestern and every single one of them said the girls were horrible and the parties sucked. they all have good jobs, though.

i can tell you for a fact that the girls and parties at u of i don't suck, but only some of my friends that went there got good jobs.

if you are smart and work hard while attending a (decent) public school you will have nearly as many opportunities when you graduate as you would at a private school. it's just most kids get too caught up in how much fun they are having to get that 3.75 or whatever.

go illini, though. best 4 years ever. i look forward to comeing back to campus once or twice this year.

tc

As usual, Taylor finds a way to sound way more mature than I ever could even though he is almost 15 years younger. But, as an Illinois grad, I couldn't possibly agree with him any more. I believe U of I represents the perfect combination of education, partying and girls. While they might not be first in any of these, they are near the top in all for Midwestern schools. And even with the ridiculous tuition increases over the last 10 years, it is still a bargain relative to the Notre Dames, Michigan, and NWs of the world.

And nothing better than the final Four in 05, right in our backyard at St. Louis. Sure beats watchign Notre Dame and Michigan get their butts handed to them in every big game.
