I wonder if those guys are gonna get a call from Roger Goodell

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think Roger Goodell has the authority to take any action. HBO is a not a sponsor nor affiliated with the NFL in anyway me thinks. Not to mention NFL needs gambling and vice versa and Roger Goodell knows this. Just keep it away from the players and refs.

doesn't ESPN show the spread on the ticker when showing the matchups for Sunday during the week?

[/ QUOTE ]

I've both seen it and not seen it there. Very odd - but this was the first year I noticed it.

They definitely show the spread in Canada, along with actually showing hockey highlights.

Fallsview? Out of curiosity what channel are you watching?

Seriously?

"Inside the NFL" has been running for about 30 years. "Hard Knocks" is another show where the NFL partners up with HBO.

The all time pimp gambler on network TV was Al Michaels back in the day.

Al: We are UNDER a starry sky in San Francisco
Dierdorf: Easy Al

Al: (after a garbage time field goal) That field goal just made a lot of people happy.
Dierdorf: Easy Al

This was actually last year at Fallsview - the Score was the one showing spreads though.

Musberger will tell you which team he has in the opening of every game he does. You just have to pay attention.

either way, bet the over, give the points and bet the pats.

[/ QUOTE ]

Isn't this strategy 16-0 this season?

[/ QUOTE ]

7-1 if you parlay them both together as pats and the over. 8-0 against the spread and 7-1 against the over. They missed covering against cincinati by 7 points.

As close to a sure thing as there is in football

[/ QUOTE ]

Most places won't let you parlay the total and the side of the same game.

2/3s of the people watching mnf are betting on it. they want to win back what they lost sunday. the studios definitely know this.
