I know there are persistent rumors (like seriously, Dave's not kidding, like 15 years worth of rumors). I haven't heard anything solid in a while though.

There's almost no way Watchmen ends up as a good movie. That said, I would love to see them try.

give it to Gilliam with a good budget as a TV Series! PLEASE!

Who the hell would make a good Rorshach? Sam Rockwell?

I don't care if God himself whispers in my ear about how [censored] the movie is, it looks rad and I'm gonna see it. These are the kinds of movies I like to see in the theater.

Wow, if Alan Moore was going to be angry you'd think he'd have done it already after the From Hell and League movies.

It is a phenomenal comic book by Alan Moore. Not as good as The Watchmen, but very good and very dark. I'm anticipating this one as well.

[/ QUOTE ]

It better be. I've just ordered it based on this recommendation.

I think it would be a kickass animated movie if in the right hands.

It's extremely dark though, warning. It has a lot of Holocaust-y type stuff and philosophizing about government and politics(which I'm into).

The fact that Alan Moore has disassociated himself with the film entirely is a bad sign IMO.

This page has a pretty good summary of the original graphic novel (spoilers within).
