D'you mean as in my OP? There's nothing in there that isn't in the statement that I gave the police. Plus I kinda know what I'm doing since I was in the claims department for a while. Plus I live in Jamaica - I'm guessing the chance of anyone connected to the case ever coming across this bulletin board, never mind this thread, is extremely remote.

This is why I hate motorcyclists. If it had been a car cutting you off, the people inside would not been hurt as badly, especially at 30 mph. Injuring people sucks.

Shouldn't that read, "I hate incompetency," or, "I hate fate," or, "We should all drive tanks so nobody ever gets hurt in an accident," or pretty much anything other than, "I hate motorcyclists?"

I hate motorcycles too.

But, I understand their right to get in my way and potentially die. More power to them.

A motorcyclist has just as much right to the road as a car/truck whatever. When I ride I have to be 3 times as vigiliant and alert as people in cars because I know that 90% of all the [censored] in cars don't have any idea what they are doing and think they have a "right" to drive and that they have no obligation to pay attention to what they are doing. Anyone who has ever ridden a motorcycle for very many miles can tell you at least a dozen stories of some jackass almost killing them because they weren't paying attention. I almost got runover at a 4 way stop last week by a 17 year old talking on his phone. The average motorcycle rider is significantly more aware of his surroundings than the average motorist. If everyone driving cars approached driving the way most motorcyclists ride there would be very few car accidents.

i know a lot of people that have "do not remove helmet" stickers on their helmets, specifically for police. not sure if it's an urban legend or not, but i guess some people (maybe police) have paralyzed riders buy removing their helmet when they have neck injuries.
