so what i'm tending to read here is that check withdrawls get processed immediately. unlike how at times we had to wait up to 72 hours to get our withdrawls sent to neteller. correct?

Where is this, cash out via check option you all seem to see?

Sounds like it, but just to give another perspective, I requested a +$1k check last Wednesday night and haven't heard or seen anything from Stars. I have an e-mail into the cashier asking what's up and I'll let people know what they say, if interesting.

augie are you retarded? ALL checks have a holding period if you don't meet the requirements.

Requirements are usually:

length of account (if you just opened a checking account there last month, they WON'T give you cash)

Amount of your balance, AND average daily balance vs. the check amount (this is probably what did you in) If you have $2,000 and cash a $300 check, they'll give you cash, if you have $2,000 and you cash a $3,000 they WILL NOT give you cash and force the 5 day waiting period.

There's other things in there, like deposit history etc. But those are the big 2.

[/ QUOTE ]

thank you for your post. yes, i am legally retarded. thank you for asking.

Somewhere on their site, it says that they print checks on Monday, Tues, Wed and Thurs only. So your check probably didn't get printed until Monday.

Yeah, they say something like, "PS processes USD cheques four times per week, Mon-Thurs."

I am suprised no one has mentioned this. It is super simple really. DON'T DEPOSIT/USE YOUR OWN BANK. The Pokerstars checks are drawn from a Bank of America account. Go to Bank of America with 2 forms of ID and request they cash the check. EZ...waiting time for a "hold"? A 'superstandard' 0 days. Cash plays.

There's a few misconceptions in this thread, I'd recommend calling your mothers for a quick refresher in basic checking.
