Re: Best SNL music performance of all-time
Elvis Costello was the first that came to mind, but the Ornette Coleman stuff is sick.
Elvis got kicked off the show forever for that, but they brought him back for the 25th anniversary: http://youtube.com/watch?v=XDNDqYl65sU . Did the same shtick with the Beastie Boys. It'd be better if Mike D didn't look completely bored the whole time. |

Becks first performance of "Where it's at" was awesome.
So was Kid Rock's performance of "American Bad-ass" |

Re: Best SNL music performance of all-time
i think the coolest performance was elvis costello being on their anniversary show, after being banned for a number of years, for performaing radio radio.
the beastie boys were on stage, and started playing, then elvis costellor runs out on stage, and stops them, then then bust into radio radio. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDNDqYl65sU |

Beck had a great performance this past season where his band stood around a kitchen table using various utensils for a crazy percussion jam. [/ QUOTE ] http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...ideoid=3873471 Tuco. |

That's good stuff. EDIT: Also, the Ornette Coleman link, at least for the first couple of minutes, sounds like it would be badass chase music. |
