US - you have done pretty well for only playing 125k hands

i've only played 100k or so, so i guess we are the newbies out of the frequent posters.

do alot of people who are decent winners at NL200 or w/e cashout too much so they have to stay at the level for 100's of thousands of hands. i'm not in a great hurry but i don't really want to play more than 100k hands at NL200 if i can help it.

i cash out about half of my profits each month so my bankroll will carry on growing. it's at about 11k atm so still a long way to go before i get to the magic 20k mark when i will move up

Actually it's 50 buyins for NL400. I prefer to move up more liberally. Just replace one of your regular tables with a well-selected table from the next level. If you run good/get comfortable, replace another. Just play NL200 when you can't find any good NL400 tables. You should be able to do this pretty safely with a $11k roll.

You guys have all played way more than me. I'm on around 40k. Worked up from 10nl to 100nl in that time.

Ooops. Read that wrong.

I've got a bit more aggressive bankroll strategy, starting to move up using the replace a table at a time method when I hit 15 buyins.

I suppose the difference is that for me it's not a career but a hobby and if I did go busto it wouldn't affect me as much.

started playing december '06

i'm guessing like 50k hands before i got poker tracker (in march) ... from .02/.04 to .5/1

march => july 75k limit hands, from .5/1 to 2/4 & some 3/6

cashed out a lot in july, started playing nl 25

july => now 130k hands 25nl => nl100 some nl200

so 250k in 11 months
