even if he's not the best player, he must be able to hand read at least SOMEwhat. what can he POSSIBLY put us on, on the turn that he beats on the river with an 8? And it's unlikely he has A8, right? More likely to be suited connectors/semi-connectors...

He doesn't like to fold, rarely has us beat, and can have a smaller flush or an 8 which almost definitely call.

Being afraid of a bluffshove here is a terrible reason to miss out on value. If he's really that spewy just call his shove.

even if he calls with a lower flush or an 8 (which i dont necessarily agree with), how often does he HAVE those hands? i really think you guys are being optimistic. but maybe i'm just not being optimistic enough.

People seem to be putting him mostly on a flush, a boat, or an 8. I think J9, 64, or 96 makes up at least as a big a portion of his legit-hand range as those hands.
