There are about 6 guys out there at FTP that have developed my game more than any coach, yet they don't even know that I exist and that I watch them.

Very good suggestions and I do really mean it. But at the same time I had to call you out, cause, let's be serious, that's kinda creepy... lol

BTW, what is considered "mid-limit"?

[/ QUOTE ]

In my mind it's 2-5 to 5-10. Others may see it differently.

Our goal is to make people successful at those levels. PNL v 1 is the framework for thinking about hands, planning them, and making nl decisions. We'll build on that extensively and have a lot of specific play recs in later volumes.

Hey Matt,

I can't wait until PNL1! Already pre-ordered.

You've alluded a couple of times to having more material than can fit into PNL1 and 2. How much chance is there of a PNL3 or 4? Would you and Sunny like to do this and does it depend on how well 1 and 2 sell first?

Sure Sunny and I will likely put out additional books independent of sales.

Improving your Full Ring Game.

Preflop:
1) Understand Position. What worked for me was to think of the poker table as a straight line not a round circle.
If i'm first to act I have to beat up 8/9 other players with my punch (bet). If I'm last to act I may only have to beat 0 to 9 players with my punch(bet).
2) Next is starting cards. It is 2nd to position because position is more important then cards. In FR pocket pairs rule.

Postflop:
1) Dedicate a portion of your play to 6 max. I dedicated 3 months of playing only 6 max to fine tune my post flop play.

Pick out a HERO at a higher stake game (2-3 levels higher) and datamine him like crazy. Then, review his sessions. Try to see the nuances of his/her play.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow, I did just this today. I went through 60 hands that a very good player got to showdown and I found it very informative. It is limited, as you never get to see the hands he bet/folds etc; but still well worth it.

5-10 live or online.

[/ QUOTE ]I've heard it's not really the same level and style of play, though I have played neither.

Can I ask you, Matt, approximately how many hands of experience the authors of this book have at those online stakes?

I'm sure the book will be good and I'll very likely get it but it's something I've been wondering about.

P.S. Sorry about the hijack.

a) I am striving to play more 6max NLHE
b) I am striving to play some PLO and progress in stakes there
c) I review my big hands periodically
d) I review opponents that cause me trouble sometimes
e) I read the forums and some poker books (most are fairly useless though)

I think my biggest prob. sometimes is that I play SNGs (which I am very profitable in and is my best game) and cash games at the same time and I know the difference and how to play each obviously but does anyone else share this difficulty

(1) Talk lots of trash. Mention the mothers of other players at least twice a half-hour.

(2) Masturbate frequently and angrily.

(3) Punch myself in the face until dizzy, then run quicksnap up and down my stairs ahooing and ahaaing. Lather, rinse, repeat.

(4) Yoga. Legs behind head. Keyboard on floor in front of face. Nose pecking at keyboard. Slooooow trashtalk.
