lefort i see what you are doing here

i disagree that betting > checking. does villain have AJ here? c'mon. although there is merit to betting in that villain has shown his hand is not very strong, either..

that said, i think AK reopens betting all day and thus i'd snap call

Too many people are just quoting one another without giving any decent ranges and thinking processes of this hand.

If you push this river you are basically repping air vs. somebody who is a little capable of reading hands. If he views you as solid he doesn't expect you to push TT-KK at this point. He does expect you to push AA/AK/AQ, and maybe some sort of air?? So I really don't see any value in pushing, plz explain what villain would think if you push here, what hands would he put you on?

His preflop-, flop- and turnplay makes me think he very often has something like TT-KK. Thats why i shove the river.

If you really respect your opponents play then I may lead the river with a shove. He will call you much thinner.

If he is an every day run of the mill TAG I like the line you took as long as you call. He will bluff this spot often enough.

-Us checking the turn and river allows for him to value bet much thinner then people think.

he has KK-TT more than he has an ace. thats why you push river since youre freerolling and it looks like a spot where you should have a decent bluffing freq from villains perspective. a couple good players have agreed w/ me that pushing river is best and i dont think its close.

c/f if you check, but checking is leaving money on the table. if he has top set [censored] him.

'a couple good players have agreed w/ me that pushing river is best and i dont think its close.'

What exactly does that mean....seems pompous is all.

And I agree TT-KK makes up a huge portion of his range. Maybe even the majority. That doesn't sway me one way or the other in terms of leforts line. His line is fine as long as he follows through. The goal is to just get the money in. Whether you check to induce or bet for value....wtf ever as long as it gets in.

I thought the debate revolved around whether he was ahead or not. You seem to want to take the discussion to best way of extracting. Ok...

AQ is like the top 20% of our range here, no way I am folding it. Anybody who folds this is an exploitable nit.

If you don't feel good about putting stacks in on this hand seriously consider checking the flop.
