Re: Boston Globe writer Borges suspended

[ QUOTE ] And this quote is pre Belicheck. So this debunks Borges' defenders that are saying he's a great sportswriter except when it comes to Belicheck. [/ QUOTE ] Actually Belichick was the coach at the time (I believe the 2001 draft was his first as NE coach). Borges still sucks though. [/ QUOTE ] |

[/ QUOTE ] i dunno we were talking about this over on another board this morning, san diego and indy also have a metric fuckton of talent and our schedule promises to be tough. i would bet that the SB champ will be one of those three teams and i don't think any one is a big favorite over the other two. |

[/ QUOTE ] I've glanced at a few sport betting sites, and the #'s on the Pats to win the SB have not changed that much. We are still behind Indy and SD, I think we were 10-1 and they wer each like 6-1. I could be wrong about that, and I would take it, but they are all bad bets. anywho, I think it's now close between us and SD. I think the odds are pretty good we can find 1 stud LB or Safety in the draft, which will really help us out. |

Re: NE Patriots FA and Draft (ie offseason) thread
Mike Reiss today:
"On the news front, running back Laurence Maroney underwent shoulder surgery after the AFC Championship Game. That Maroney underwent surgery was first reported by the Boston Herald, and has been confirmed. Maroney will naturally be limited in the team's offseason program, but the injury isn't expected to threaten his 2007 season." good news/bad news here. good news is that this partially explains why Maroney played much worse after he got injured. bad news is that injuries/surgeries are...usually bad. |

Re: NE Patriots FA and Draft (ie offseason) thread
Shoulder is pretty bad for a RB too, can't avoid getting hit on a frequent basis. As much as I hate the Pats, I like Maroney and hope it doesn't effect him too much.
