That seems to be the only video I can find of the end of Beethoven's 9th. I think that's the end anyways. But it's not a great performance in my opinion, or a bad recording anyways, doesn't sound as strong as I think it ought to. Nevertheless, one of my favorites. Edit: Err, about it not being as strong - I had the volume way down, lmao. Edit 2: Am I an idiot or something? Any other recording i have of Beehtoven's 9th doesn't sound anything like this - why? The Adagietto from Mahler's 5th easily wins 1st place on my list.
Also off the top of my head: Arvo Part's Spiegel im Spiegel; David Fanshawe's Lord's Prayer; Bellini - Casta Diva; and the Final Movement of Sibelius' 5th. |
