nah this isn't what they do. take the total prize pool - 14x the buyin, call that $X. you get (your chips / total chips in play) * $X, so if someone has 1BB left and is in 14th place, that person doesn't get the 14th place prize, he/she gets buyin +1bb/totalchips*$X

i believe anyway, my tourney wasn't in the money when it cancelled but i still ended up getting more $$ than the place i was in (i was in like 18th of 124, and i got paid for what 9th would've gotten i believe)

yeah i was 18th of 124 and not ITM (the $ started @ 27th place i believe) and i still ended up making more $$ (by a couple hundo) than 18th place would've been. it totally blew my mind... since it was FTP i expected them to send me some ass lube and a dildo and a note telling me to [censored] myself, but that time they did get it right.

they also randomly credited me $90 later that week due to "money in play during the outage"

not a guarantee that this'll happen this time, but there is hope

edit: i should add that i subsequently bustoed the whole amount, so it's possible that their silver lining of grace comes around the dark cloud of doomswitchaments
