Re: Brag: Going to Train in MMA
King,
well if it's more cardio and you eat a lot and lift but don't do cardio right now, you should lose some fat weight which will make you more aesthetically pleasing, yes edit: that question was worded weird as hell yo! |

Re: Brag: Going to Train in MMA
Yeah, it kinda comes with the territory. Guys who are freaking huge will always have trouble in combat sports due to cardio issues. Look up Bob Sapp if you need any proof.

Re: Brag: Going to Train in MMA
Sapp has done well throughout his career considering how long he's been training.

Re: Brag: Going to Train in MMA
I see you gave up on Aikido, and I don't know anything about MMA...so why am I posting/
Oh, yeah, I still think judo is great. But, what nobody mentioned in your last thread was the mental preparation for fighting, whether self-defense, or a more aggressive style. If you get focused and can stay emotionally strong, it makes a huge difference in a fight/tournament. Some Dojo's are good at teaching emotional control, others are not. I've been in spots where I was getting the crap kicked out of me and still saved my azz or won a tourny because I didn't panic. Probably a number of posters can tell you that your brain can still think clearly and eficiently while you are getting whipped, if you have been trained well.......and the fight ain't over till the ref says so, or you kick the other guys butt. Get info from people already training at he facility.........mental toughness is as/more important than "style" have fun Dogmeat [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] |

[ QUOTE ]
I train in Muay Thai and BJJ at the moment. I do both classes every Tuesday and Thursday and throw in another Muay Thai class on Friday for the plyometric excersizes. [/ QUOTE ] are you talking about kicking thai pads? Does that count as plyometric exercise, or are you talking about somethine else? |
