It's interesting that the people that haven't run one are the ones that think it's no big deal. I trained for one once and was injured about a month before the race. Just all the training involved is a pretty big deal. I'm impressed by any one that goes through it all and finishes the race.

My guess is that most people in the U.S. couldn't even walk the marathon distance in a day.
