The SSNL dinner will be held at 6:30 PM July 6 at the Salt Lick Bar-B-Que located at the Red Rock Las Vegas . The Salt Lick has a $16.99 all you can eat special and seating can accommodate our group. The Red Rock Casino is about a 20 minuet ride from the Strip. If you get a cab with 3-4 other SSNLers your total cost (assuming moderate alcohol consumption [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]) should be under $50 a person. The Red Rock Casino is one of the nicest off-Strip casinos so arriving early and playing poker, Pai Gow or craps would not be a bad thing.

After dinner, we will have a few SSNL private tables at Caesar’s. Get ready for some low limit fun with your SSNL buddies. Last year we played a $2/$4 mixed limit game which featured double flop hold ‘em and badugi!

I need to get an approximate head count for both dinner and cards (you can go to either or both). Feel free to forward this to any other 2+2er that you think might be interested. Please PM me with what event(s) you plan to attend (and number attending if you are bringing a GF/spouse) by no later than June 8 so that I may give both the restaurant and poker room an approximate head count. If for some reason you need to cancel, please let me know that as well.

I am looking forward to meeting a lot of SSNLers this year. I encourage you to look at the attendance list in the Boondoggle Sticky and try to set up some other activities with fellow SSNLers. I know a few have mentioned going to the Las Vegas Gun Range and others will probably hitting the night clubs that week.

If you will be in Vegas earlier and want to hang out make you sure you include a way (phone number, IM) for me to reach you.

the 3betting preflop madness continues - I just had a shortstack donk who 3bet my AQo 4BB open to 11BB from the SB.

BB then proceeds to min4 bet him.

I fold thinking one has a pair - one has an Ace and I am way behind with fewer outs... also I think that if I call shorty's gonna push pre and it'll wind up costing me $15 just to see the flop.

They get all-in on the flop 3bettor shortstack flips AQo and loses to min4bettor who flipped AJo.

Naturally my AQ would have rivered me a nut flush and I'd have stacked both of them...
