4. Lost in all of this: an AWESOME job by Wakefield tonight. Four hits, including the cheapest two-run single you'll ever see. I'm pretty sure the ball stopped rolling before anyone got to it. I've never seen a ball hit so weakly (rolling from the dirt to the grass, the grass almost stopped it!) drive in a pair.

3 walks and two K's arent all that impressive. however, its better than wangs performance

Props to Joe Torre for expressing disappointment in the fans' treatment of Damon. "If it wasn't for him, they might be talking about 89 or 90 years around here."

I have so much respect for guys like Torre. Pretty much the entire Yankee organization, except for A-Rod. I've been brainwashed by Bill Simmons to hate A-Rod.

Yeah, A-Rod sucks because he is the best player in the AL. F him because he is paid a lot.

Or something.

Id take Ortiz over Arod, when the game is 12-2 Arod hits 3 HRs 7 RBIs. 7th inning on , no one is better than Ortiz right now in the league.

2 years ago Jeter was booed at home during a really long slump at the beginning of the season.

Last year David Wells was booed by Yankee's fans when he pitched in The Stadium.

Personally I would have given Damon a standing O for his first at bat then booed him every possible chance thereafter, but you can't blame some fans for booing him. This isn't like Damon leaving the Royals to go to Oakland, this is Sox-Yanks, the most bitter rivalry in all of sports. Besides, most of the fans were laughing at the same time, it isn't like everyone out there hates him, he is just the easiest target to boo now.
