Guy who had been solid open limps for 400, I make it 1600 to go with KQo, he calls. Flop KT4, he check/calls 2600. Turn 8, he check/raises my 5500 bet to 18k allin, I call because the only hands I'm losing to are T8 and 44, <...>

[/ QUOTE ]

KT? A stubborn 88? A sneaky AK?

Anyway, do you think your call here is good against his range?

I don't get it, at least: you're getting about 1.5:1, but what are you beating? Would a typical solid player C/R all-in here with just KJ or a weak draw?

(And your outs-situation doesn't look very attractive if you're behind, either. Most often you'd be drawing dead or to 3 outs, I would guess.)

Just curious if there's something I'm missing, or if this should actually be considered a bad call.

Anyhow, best of luck today! Knock'em dead. Gobbo & Gus heads-up, and you'll get your sweet revenge.

(I've been rooting for gobboboy since he was kind enough to put up the hand histories from the two $215 Sundays he FT'ed on Stars on the same day. Was very interesting reading for an MTT noob.)

Well I finished with 110k after a great last level where the table had become real soft and people called my raises with the intention of check-folding when they missed the flop

Shaundeeb it was good playing with you, even though you were causing a lot of trouble and owned me in our last big pot. Guess you just have to get better at coin flips :/

Tomorrow I have a really good table with no big stacks and only J. Lisandro/Traniello as big names. Any info on the following players?

Julius Colman 55500 5 1
Nicolas Levi 109700 5 2
Joe Le 85100 5 3
Huseyln Yilmaz 143500 5 4
Marco Traniello 45700 5 5
Amat Ashgar 69200 5 6
Jeffrey Lisandro 31100 5 7
Jakob Paulsen 129200 5 8

Colman is a filthy rich amateur, who managed to somehow get to the final table of the Aussie Millions, getting knocked out in 4th (so gobboboy probably have lots of info about the guy's game).

Didn't make a good impression there from what was shown on TV, at least. He seemed really bad. Played a terrible short-stack, if I remember correctly; like calling off half his stack out of position to a mid-position raise, with a non-pair broadway hand, to check/fold on a low flop.
