Default Re: Another Mansion free bet

RJ, Mansion is the same site that was letting people clear the affiliate bonus with betting on roulette and betting $24 on black, $24 on red and $2 on the 0 for almost 2 months to earn $90. The owner is a worth Billions from Asia. They spent $65 Million on a T Shirt deal with an English Premier Soccer Team and it looks like they are willing to spend $10 Million + on this NFL promo. They are here to stay. They want to be the #1 sportsbook/casino/poker site out there. Whether they achieve this is another story but their owner is will to spend $100 Million + to achieve this. They have very competitive lines and if they advertise the poker site intelligently one day they might be able to go at it with Party and Stars. They sure have the bankroll to try. Everyone who has signed up with me for the $90 kickback has been paid in the past 2 weeks and I am positive they will continue to be paid. Mansion knows that the majority of people who take up this offer of the $1100 freebet will continue to give their business to Mansion.com.

My bets are on... is there anyways I can watch this game in the UK?

[/ QUOTE ]

I suspect it would be on satellite or cable somewhere as I'm pretty sure they carry a lot of American football games over there on various channels.
It's the first game of the year so it's kind of a big deal for that reason.
It is nationally televised on NBC in the U.S.

The problem is that it's a Thursday NIGHT game.
8pm eastern-time I think.
Which means that I think the game STARTS at 2am in the UK.

I don't think there are any bars/pubs for you to go to at that hour to watch it.

For those asking the chances of PIT winning by 5 or more.
It's probably about 50/50. Maybe slightly less.
PIT went 11-5 and won the Super Bowl last year but there some question-marks for them this season including how effective their quarterback, Ben Roethlesberger, will be after a bad motorcycle accident over the off-season.

MIA went 9-7 last year and are expected by some to continue to improve.

The line is set at 4 or 4.5 to balance the wagering from the general-public. Thus it is expected that 4.5-ish is a "fair" line and that you would have roughly a 50/50 shot if you bet on either side.

In sports-betting, generally the home-team is given 3 points extra for having the home-field.

So PIT could be considered to be roughly 1.5 points better than MIA by some experts (as best they can estimate...the season hasn't even started yet) heading into this game.

They are playing the game in PIT (which has a reputation for being a tough and loud place to play) so that's where the 4.5 line comes in.

Anyway, yes, there's a very real chance that PIT wins by over 4.5 and it's probably roughly a 50/50 shot that they can pull it off.

That's actually really bad advice... I hope you see why...

In NFL there is no such thing as a draw.

Are you sure? I think that if it is tied after 15 minutes of overtime then the game is ruled a draw (although Americans of course call it a "tie").

Re: hedging at Pinnacle....

If you ever plan on doing any more sports betting, don't waste your Pinnacle sign-up bonus on this. It's a beautiful 20% to $1000, you will undoubtedly clear it with no effort using whatever sports-betting strategy you decide to use, and that is the one and only bonus you can ever get at Pinnacle. It would really be a shame to sign up there and waste their bonus, then realize what you had done in a few months.

Correct sir. NFL games can end in a tie if no one scores after 15 minutes of overtime. It very rarely happens though. The Falcons did it a few years ago against the Giants, I believe.

Regardless, if the game ends in a draw, you still win or lose your bet because of the handicap points. (-4.5, +4.5, etc.)

While that is the current line, a lot of people bought in for this promotion when the line was -5, which means that a draw is certainly possible.

Yes, its possible their bet will push, but if the game ends in a tie, noone pushes their bet. There will be a winner or loser on any of the bets if the game ends in a tie.

I finally got my bet in this morning. To those people who signed up through Savvy, where did you put in the bonus code? All I saw was a box for a referral code so I put it there. Can anyone confirm if I did it right or screwed up?

And I got Pitt -4.5, $1,100 to win $1,000. Seems like I got that part right.

What if Pitt win but by less than 4.5? Stake still refunded?
