3-man rotation would be an awful idea, given that Harden is coming off an injury and that Loaiza isn't that much of a drop-off from Zito/Haren.

We don't need Harden to throw complete games though, we never had a bullpen like this whhen we were in the playoffs a few years ago.

And as of late EL is looking more like the EL of April-July than the EL of August.

I was watching the Angels/A's game last night, and it was said that Loaiza is going to be your guys game 2 starter? I know you don't want to pressure Harden or whatnot, but I thought it would go Zito, Haren, Harden or Loaiza depending on health etc.

Is Loaiza really the better choice over Danny Haren for #2 starter?

True. I still like their chances at advancing thru the first round much better than Anaheim's.

As for the rotation: I don't like EL for #2, but I'm not going to second guess. They may need 3 or 4 good performances to win any one game -- happily they've gotten that often enough throughout the year.

Most of A's Nation, the local idiot reporters, the pundits on ESPN, the talk radio jokers, they all think the A's are screwed against the Twins. The only clown who gives the A's a chance is Steve Phillips. This is NOT a good sign.

That said, I like our chances my brothers! A's in four.
