Re: Here we go....
Even if it loses there will be many court challenges to this, specifically ISP's, search engines and state right groups.

[ QUOTE ]
I still don't understand why people think the bill will fail in the senate even though it will most likley easily pass in the house. [/ QUOTE ] many think this is posturing by the house to be like "look we did something". Also the bill has to make it on the legislative schedule by sometime in august, a lot of people seem to think it won't make it on the schedule effectively killing the bill. At least that is how I understand it. |

Re: Here we go....
Heading for a resounding victory as we speak.
BTW, it's not just the Republican retards. Currenty vote tally: Republicans -- 170 / 10 yes/no Democrats -- 90/54 People here need to realize that people on both sides of the aisle are very much in favor of this thing passing...just partisan quibbling that was holding it up. 2p2ers need to realize that we're a tiny, tiny minority with most of the country united against us. |

I still don't understand why people think the bill will fail in the senate even though it will most likley easily pass in the house. [/ QUOTE ] The political makeup of the Senate is not as conducive to this kind of stuff as the House. IIRC, the flag-burning amendment passed the House easily, but failed in the Senate. That's a very familiar pattern on "social issues" legislation. |

Re: Here we go....
I plan on contacting my senate delegation pretty soon, but if you can tell from this arrow
<------------ It's going to be difficult. I do plan on speaking/writing with/to them, but because of my residence, I'll need assistance from the other states to help out. :-/ |
