how many hands of $10/20 6max NL do i need in a year to get supernova elite

[/ QUOTE ]
I dont think the pokerstars server plays enough hands of 10-20 NL to make it to elite.

[/ QUOTE ]
what are the options for NL cash game players then?

[/ QUOTE ]

Playing a lot of hours.

Unfotunately, NL cash game players also pay a lot more rake than the limit players. And not just because the average pots are bigger. The rake structure really penalizes NL play.

In that case I have no idea why pokerstars does their system like this, Why not real rakeback?

You get back the amount you pay, and you get more if you get supernova/etc. Also bonuses could be placed at "$100k raked, etc"

I don't see how it is fair to give Limit players 40% rakeback and NL players 32% rakeback, etc. It should all be relative to exactly how much you are paying Pokerstars, IMO.

It does not have to be fair. If they want to give players more incentive to play limit instead of no limit, thats Stars prerogative.

1. I think as of right now there are 6.
2. I would guess 20-25.
3. Stars said they won't be announcing any changes until the first of the year.

thx very much

i,m planning to start SNE from JAN 1st so right now I,m collecting all needed information and preparing myself mentally

One thing I dont understand is why when you make SNE in 2008 for ex in 2009 its valid only till July (when you make that 50k vppp every month)... its not fair at all... how the hell is anybody suposed to make 170k first 6months - sick

Will track this thread to see if you find out about some changes

alchemik - yeah, we've brought that up several times in this thread. Hopefully Stars is listening to our complaints and considers changing that situation where you only get 6 months to take advantage of the 5x FPP's and it's right after you immediately killed yourself to get to Elite in the first place and are likely in a state where you could kind of use some sort of break without having to crank out a required amount of VPP's each month just to retain your Elite status.

Yes, this is pretty absurd.

-----changing that situation where you only get 6 months to take advantage of the 5x FPP's

Supernova Elite players that repeats in 2008 will earn 60%+ RB assuming they hit 1,000,000 VPPs Dec 31st. If we extended Supernova Elite for the whole year and kept the same RB% it would only be 4.25x FPP bonus. All this assumes the rewards will be exactly the same and doesn't include freerolls, other VIP added events or promos like double VPP week.
