People see poker on tv, they see these big name pros that are celebrities, they see millions of dollars, they see a big cool factor.

People want to live this fantasy. This is why you have guys playing 2/4 limit at the casino wearing shades and ipods and staring you down for 20 minutes before each action. They are simply living out their WPT/WSOP tv fantasy.

For most donk retards that's as far as it goes.

However some of them manage to satellite into big tournaments and possibly place deep, or perhaps even win. Their fantasy goes a little farther, but nobody really pays them much attention, they aren't big name pros after all, just nobodies who got lucky in an event.

But now enter Brandi Hawbaker/Rose.

Exact same donk, exact same situation, HOWEVER she happens to be a non-repellent young female. The poker world (various magazine, forums *ahem*) go NUTS over her, giving her way too much undue and undeserved "poker" attention.

For her the fantasy is now in overdrive. She's meeting pros, hanging out with them, being interviewed, etc.

Needless to say, it's still just a fantasy. Still just a donk with no talent and no future.

Add on top of this the fact the person is mentally "off" anyway and you can see why Brandi actually believes she's now part of the poker "scene" and will be making the big easy poker money soon.

Her mental illness, combined with the undeserved glut of attention, has deluded her into thinking such.

Resolution: None. She'll cling to the fringes of the poker world as long as possible, scamming off random dudes here and there, donking off whatever money she manages to extract from them.

The only thing in this thread that totally boggles my mind is that Newhizzle railed this girl AFTER she stole $30k from him and cut herself enough to write "I will fly someday" on a mirror.
