This program looks great, but when I try and run it I get the following:

Error connecting to the SQL server. Check that the service is started. Error: 57014: canceling query due to user request.

I select my db, site and limit and timeframe. Do I need PT open while I run this?

No. Try selecting a smaller date range, it's possible that the query is taking too long to run and timing out.

Due to the structure of the PT database, I have to transfer most of the database to working memory to run the analysis, which means that importing large numbers of hands can take a long time and use a fair bit of memory.

If a shorter date range doesn't fix it, you may have to wait a couple of days for the public beta.

Hi, how do I interpret these graphs?

Looks like im running hot in showdowns, but lose a lot in non-showdown hands?

Its 6-max $25 nl btw.

Yep, that about sums it up. You went on a 10 buyin heater between 1K and 6K then ran about even after that.

Very cool. Thanks a bunch Phil. It even works on vista without having to run as administrater or anything lol. If my EV ever approaches normal I will send some money on stars or something.

Feu:

Check the "ETW" box, this tells you what you were "supposed" to win, then compare it to the green line.

When I try to run the all_in calc I get the following message:

SQLException: Connection refused. Check that the hostname and port are correct and that the postmaster is accepting TCP/IP connections.

I just left the server as localhost and the port as 5432. Is it possible this is wrong and if so how do I check what to enter instead?

Now my pokertracker database also won't open at all and it also gives the message "could not connect to server".

how does it calculate %+EV when PIP when there isn't a showdown? i'm having trouble assessing the usefulness of that #!

[/ QUOTE ]
For non showdown it's just whether you win or not. The stat is meant to be used in combination with the different filters (like Top Pair, WK; 2nd nut flush draw, late position, flop call, put in more than 20% of stack, etc) to assess how often various combinations either win you the pot without showdown or earn Sklansky bucks. It's a way of assessing the profitability of various situations and spotting leaks.

Don't worry about it too much for now. The stats tab is just something I quickly threw together and you're going to see major changes with detailed breakdowns shortly.
