I don't think it was Shanahan's call... but that might have been the best pass by a Denver QB all year.

Question: If TBell never got hurt and started every game...would Plummer still be the QB?

[/ QUOTE ]

yes

[/ QUOTE ]
Absolutely. Their opponent matters much more than who is playing RB.

i just think, without looking at stats, that their running game has had much less of an impact since bell got hurt, so with him they would have had a good chance to either beat SD or KC, thus plummer would still start

big LOL to that "trick" play

Yeah, it was kind of cool.

Stupid at the same time. Elam came up lame after that fake.

It would have been an interesting decision had there been more time left on the clock. But nothing is gained by a fake with so little time to capitalize on a new set of downs.

OMG WTF is wrong with Shanahan!!!?

What an idiot.

[/ QUOTE ]

Madden brings up a good point - likely a player's call. He can't be that dumb. Can he?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know. There have been worse decisions made before.

Jake is great at making the most insane retarded throws...normal run of the mill throws...not so much.

Wonder if Plummer called that just to say F you to Shanny

There's just no way. M-Bell tore up the Colts and did very well vs. a tough SD run defense as well. He didn't do anything vs. Pittsburgh, but neither does any RB including LT2. KC was the only game where a RB upgrade possibly could've made a difference, and I doubt that.
I misread the question btw - didn't mean to be a smartass.

The fake field goal was exactly the same play the Eagles used a few years ago against Arizona, with the no-look flip over the shoulder. The only difference is that the Broncos ran it to the right because Elam is a righty, whereas the Eagles ran it to the left because Akers is a lefty.

Regardless, a retarded fake for all the reasons mentioned.
