It would have been an interesting decision had there been more time left on the clock. But nothing is gained by a fake with so little time to capitalize on a new set of downs.

M-Bell tore up the Colts and did very well vs. a tough SD run defense as well. He didn't do anything vs. Pittsburgh, but neither does any RB including LT2. KC was the only game where a RB upgrade possibly could've made a difference, and I doubt that. I misread the question btw - didn't mean to be a smartass.

The fake field goal was exactly the same play the Eagles used a few years ago against Arizona, with the no-look flip over the shoulder. The only difference is that the Broncos ran it to the right because Elam is a righty, whereas the Eagles ran it to the left because Akers is a lefty.
Regardless, a retarded fake for all the reasons mentioned.
