Re: The Official 2007 Chicago Cubs Thread
i'm flipping b/w the game and around the horn, on which mariotti is arguing that sosa is not a first ballot HOFer. wha??? i thought he was in before his comeback this year.
anybody have thoughts on this? for fun, what % of MLB players would you guess were juicing in, say, 1999? 30%? 50% more? excluding these guys b/c of that is just rediculous imo. annnnnnd there's the loss. [censored]. |

He thought that Ripken and Gwynn deserved to be in the HOF and be first ballot entrants, they just didn't deserve to be unanimous. |

Re: The Official 2007 Chicago Cubs Thread
i'd rather have a headcase like bradley than JJ, for instance.

Re: The Official 2007 Chicago Cubs Thread
One nice thing about Bradley is that if he is playing poorly, he'll get hurt soon and you can DL him. JJ is like roster herpes; he shows up every once in a while and you just wish he'd go away. And nothing you do gets rid of him.

Re: The Official 2007 Chicago Cubs Thread
Well, if it makes you Cubs fans feel any better, Barrett went 0-for-4 with 3 K's today in his Padres debut.
