What exactly does this PokerEV graph show/explain/prove? I'm just curious. what are levels of running normal/hot/horrible? [/ QUOTE ] It will merely show how well you've run in pots that were all-in before river that is, once all the money goes in on PF/flop/turn, how well you ran. It doesn't take into account a lot of other things though, including coolers, making good bluffs that just happen to be against the nuts, etc. |

[ QUOTE ] What is normal in numbers or whatever it shows [/ QUOTE ] It shows three lines: one line which looks like a normal PT graph which shows your actual winnings. The other two lines only consider hands where you get all in before the river. One of those lines reflects how much money you won on that particular subset of hands and the other line reflects how much money you should have won based on your equity. The graph doesn't show whether you had an unusual number of coolers or dead cards. [/ QUOTE ] The other two lines show the EV of hands that went to showdown. There's a separate graph for AI hands. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] What exactly does this PokerEV graph show/explain/prove? I'm just curious. what are levels of running normal/hot/horrible? [/ QUOTE ] over 4 million hands you'll run pretty normal. [/ QUOTE ] This is extremely far from the truth. [/ QUOTE ] FK that over 4 mill hands you will run as expected, I refuse to believe otherwhise. Because then it would mean poker IS all luck, and guys like Fgator just might win less or lose because of this (depending on how good they are). And that makes me a bit sick in my stomach. |

What exactly does this PokerEV graph show/explain/prove? I'm just curious. what are levels of running normal/hot/horrible? [/ QUOTE ] It will accurately show how much money you have won or lost playing poker on Stars. That is a VERY good start for you. It will show what formats and levels you should be playing to make the most profit. It will give a crystal clear picture of your play during your playing history on stars (too loose, too tight, not aggressive enough, etc, etc) When the EV graph is posted it will help to dispell any rubbish that you run way lower than expectation. It won't be conclusive of course - because the EV graph simply cannot be. But it should provide more than enough data for your misconceptions about your relative luck to be forever consigned to the trash. EDIT: I am of course referring to the EV graph AND the PT import. All I'm saying is, over 4,000,000 hands, those blue and red lines better be pretty damn close, or I'm quitting poker tomorrow
