ive been reading this forum for a while now, and noticed a lot of "regulars".

Why not try to set up a HU tournament on stars ?

1) it would be fun and nice to play against people here that u always read their posts and interested in how they actually play.

2) Winner can have bragging rights, maybe custom title , and a nice win $.

The potential problems:

1)Organization : Timing of matches, setting it up etc...

2)the actual buyin : we have alot of different posters that play different levels so im not sure how much a reasonable buyin amount would be.

anyways.. its just a suggestion...

Since people couldn't follow the HUL schedule of playing 5 games in a month very well I've been kicking around the idea of doing a weekly HU MTT or two, a buyin of 10 and a buyin of 100 with some kind of standings based on games played / average place. That way you would not have to participate every week to be in the "league" and you we could still do a scoring/standings system.

If I do this it likely will not be done until early October when I am less busy.

hi guys, i have a low content question for you:

i'm a 1-2NL 6 max player who has always loved HU and shorthanded poker, and would like to hone my skills playing lower stakes HU cash games.

i saw that pokerstars run 25c/50c NL cash games now. just wondering if the rake is beatable for a good whack, cos i heard that the really low stake NL HU cash games have rather severe rake

thanks

I think that it would be cool to have a points system. 2pts for winning first round, 4 for 2nd, 8 for 3rd... The problem with average place of finish is how many games is enough to qualify? If I only play once and come in first, my avg finish is going to be pretty damn good. If there's one HUMTT
a week, maybe do cycles of 12 weeks or so - whoever has the most points at the end wins that cycle and keeps the title for the next 12 weeks.
Actually, it might be better to take the best 10 out of 12 scores - that way people can miss up to 2 tourneys and not be too penalized, but there would still be an incentive to play every week.
