What pisses me off the most is that I tried to get people to talk about other suspects. (except for CPFB). But you guys turned the thread yesterday into Dmk/Dustin.

I'm not supposed to vote for someone I think is evil? I even said I didn't have a lot of reason to vote him and that it was based on feel and that I wasn't super confident.

And at the time this happened the only wolf who had posted was Herbie, but nothing about Dmk's reaction to me seemed villagery so I stuck with him. He made a bunch of crappy arguments and went after me for things he knows I do as a villager.

Dustin - you're totally misunderstanding my point.

The problem is the last half of this sentence.

I've explained it 100 times, but I'll go for 101.

I don't know, or care, what you normally do as a villager

What you "normally" do is metagame. Metagame is highly exploitable. You know this. You do it. On purpose. So does Luckay. So do many others.

I'm not saying I was good this game (I wasn't). I'm not saying you were bad (you weren't). What I am saying is, you were VERY wolfy, dmk was not, but ALMOST EVERYONE in POG has things all mixed up in their head about what is and is not wolfy.

DO NOT TURN THIS AROUND ON EVERYONE ELSE. It became all about you when you

a) claimed wolf
b) voted yourself
c) Went all emo on the thread

None of these things are acceptable villager actions. NONE OF THEM. If you've done them as a villager before, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE. And turning around and saying "but, I do those wolfy things as a villager" is not helping your case.

Zurvan,

You make some good points. I shouldn't have claimed wolf, etc.

But don't try and claim that you don't use metagame when you make your assessments on people. I flat out refuse to believe that you just "forget" how people play from game to game.

In Clue you went after me because you said as a villager I'm normally more sure and less wishy washy. Thats metagame.

Dustin:

I don't ignore metagame. I use it in a general sense. ie, you are not a wishy-washy villager. But I certainly don't use it like most of you do.

I understand its two biggest flaws:

1) Tone is often affected by mood as much (or more) than by role. The more experienced a player, the more true this is.
2) It's highly exploitable. Which means it is unreliable, which means you get your ass kicked as soon as someone figures out the keys to their villager game and can implement them as a wolf.

lollers at this game. I think it fell into the same trap as chaos/sopranos in being designed for a bigger audience and not adjusting.

Anyway, I wasn't even around last night and just picked nich on brief skim about midway through the day, and dmk agreed on him. Probably would have cared more, but I didn't think dmk would be lynched.

So we rerand and restart later today?

If everyone re-confirms I could re-rand with the final ruleset plus one change:

Succubus becomes a villager.

Sound good?

<- reconfirms

I also suggest taking away the evil's ability to stop a lynch.

Actually that may not work, people will probably want to wait until Tuesday to start due to the holiday weekend. But ASXIV starts Tuesday.

Maybe let's just play turbos, heh. I can mod some and give them neat themes.
