I left clues all over the thread as to why I'm clearly a villager here.

That's pretty thin. Also, we know that the wolves allowed him to get close to being voted off (for whatever reason). Maybe they didn't really know that he was that close - all those votes came in at the end when it looked like ourhouse was easily going off.
