[/ QUOTE ] reverse implied odds still applies, bb isn't squeezing more than 20% of the time unless he's a maniac (and are you shoving there? but thats a second question). Basically, you are going to get into a lot of situations postflop where you are going to pay off a better hand while the villain is going to be able to get away from hands that could pay you a lot easier than you getting away from tptk... (ugh i know i'm not explaining it very well, its late) 3betting pre takes advantage of your preflop equity and cuts down on your reverse implied odds (like him flopping a set of sevens), so its a pretty much a must do. |

usually i 3bet, but often enough just call in this spot. though i still think it's fine to do very occasionally, your post explained why it should be very rare. thanks ike.
