I have a question: is there indisputable evidence that JJ has in fact hit a ball out of the infield this year?

Oh come on, he's quite good at weak fly balls to the opposite field.

I saw a story this morning that the Cubs and Rangers are talking about a deal involving Jacque Jones. So apparently the new strategy in Chicago is to showcase a player while dropping 2 of 3 and then trade him after the series. Why the Rangers would want him, I've no idea. I just hope they take him.

The only way that will happen is if the Cubs take practically nothing in return and pay most of Jones remaining contract (they are paying most of Barrett's contract this year for the Padres, LOL). In other words, it will probably happen. It is the way of the Cubs.

2nd inning, bases loaded, nobody out, and facing Vincente Padilla; but no runs. WTF??? It's like a bad flashback; I swear I'm watching Keith Moreland and Jody Davis all over again.

Has a team ever been worse with bases loaded, no one out?

I have seen them in this situation three or four times this year, and they have failed to score every time. Maybe it's just when I watch. Maybe Pie shouldn't have clogged up the bases with a walk. He should have been swinging and trying to drive in those runners!!!

We put on our hitting shoes here in the 5th. 6 straight hits, still no one out. I likey. I think it's because we have failed to load the bases so far.
