[ QUOTE ] Now its time for Jefferson, Green, and Theo for KG [/ QUOTE ] Ummm...no. Not trading Big Al for someone that doesn't even want to play in Boston. [/ QUOTE ] Pierce, KG and Ray Allen win the east, period. |

Re: Celtics
[ QUOTE ]
I'm happy we got this guy, I love his game. Of course, he's probably like 325 right now and will remind C's fans of the Vin Baker years. As somebody on this board said back when the C's got Vin Baker, "not a good fit in a town with a Dunkin' Donuts on every corner" [/ QUOTE ] He seems committed to keeping his weight down in the pros, we'll see. The sprained ankle is also a little worrisome on a big guy, hopefully it doesn't develop into a regular thing. |

Re: Celtics
West = career backup. I love the guy, but he's a combo guard and not starter material on a good team.
Wally = terrible contract. addition by subtraction. Jeff Green = 3/4 combo player. Not that much better than Gomes. |

The chemistry would not be there. The system would have to adjust to those players, and i dont think thats goin to happen. Only two systems would allow those 3 to play together: Golden State and Phoenix, for the obvious reasons. |

Re: Celtics
Got this from another forum. "He" = Mike Gorman.
[ QUOTE ] Said he talked to Ainge who indicated there are more moves to be made. Ainge said we need to get "bigger and tougher".. [/ QUOTE ] Sounds like we are after a big. The C's have some more pieces to trade in Theo's expiring, Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes, etc. I think Gasol/JON guys are out of the picture, but a shotblocker to rotate through the frontcourt with Big Al and Perk would be awesome. I'm trying to think who we could trade for, but I'm coming up empty. Help me out. I can't sleep. Being addicted to the NBA is a sickness. |

[/ QUOTE ] AK47 I'm reading a lot of crap in CelticsBlog comments that this move is a sign that Al could be on the block. I just don't buy it. I don't see how if Pierce, Jesus, and KG definitely win the east, that Pierce, Jesus, and Al won't be very good and at least not completely screw the future. |

Re: Celtics
I'm listening to Mike Gorman's long interview on CelticsStuffLive. Apparently Seattle really wanted Rondo but the Cs said no.
This really puts Rondo in the driver's seat. This could be make or break for him. He's surrounded by scorers so it hides his shooting woes. |
