Re: NCAA Football Week 11
Every time I am convinced that a particular coach is pretty good/competent/whatever, I hear some [censored] like this.
LSU is up 7-0 very early in the first against LA Tech -- the team that almost beat Hawaii in week 2 (I think). |

Re: NCAA Football Week 11
So here's a fun question, since Boise will get an automatic BCS bid if they finish #16 or higher (which looks likely if they win out) and if they finish ahead of any BCS conference champ, I think it's time to start compiling a list of teams that could semi-reasonably win a BCS conference while likely not cracking the top 16.
In the SEC Tennessee certainly could do it by winning out against Vandy, Kentucky, and LSU. If Kentucky beats Georgia and Tennessee, they could win an SEC West tie-break, and a win against LSU would then do it. It would require beating Kansas, Oklahoma, and THEN Missouri, but Oklahoma state could do it by winning out. Out of the ACC, Clemson (currently ranked behind Boise) is probably the conference favorite right now, in my opinion, but they could leapfrog Boise... Any other likely (using the term loosely) candidates that I'm not thinking of? |

Congrats Illini. VERY well played. [/ QUOTE ] QFT. Enjoyable watching a team that: [x] had solid O line play [x] showed creativity on offense [x] ran with authority [x] actually (ZOMG) used play action and stuff [x] hit hard on D I'm not close to sold on Juice as a passer, but he got it done today. No bad decisions. Assuming Illinois wins next week and tOSU beats Michigan, it'll be interesting to see which team goes to Orlando - the Illini would definitely be the sexier pick under that scenario, regardless of the HTH result. |

Re: NCAA Football Week 11
Kansas will be in the NC if they win out and Mizzou and Oklahoma don't totally collapse before Kansas plays them. OU and Mizzou need to win out and have either LSU or Oregon lose to make the NC. Mizzou might also need KU to be undefeated when they play them.

God I [censored] hate it when ABC has the #1 Big 12 game. It's always pre-empted by [censored] USC. And unlike Fox, where I can watch the Big 12 game on FSW, ABC has no such safety valve for Big 12 Fans in the west.
I'm not going to get to see KU/MU am I? |

Re: NCAA Football Week 11
Yeah I will for KU/MU. Not quite worth it for KU/OK St.
Maybe I'll run down there if it's close. |
